Mitch became President of Strategies, Inc. in 2003 following a career in banking. Combined with his extensive background in finance, Mitch’s experiences ground him as a key advisor specializing in privately held and multi-generational family businesses across the country on the challenges and opportunities inherent to this unique and often complex space.

His client work is concentrated on the execution of holistic succession and continuity plans. In addition, he is focused on building alignment around communication, conflict resolution, strategic planning, organizational effectiveness, executive compensation design, and forming advisory boards for privately held businesses and governance structures for family businesses.

He is an informative and engaging speaker nationally to trade and professional groups on a variety of topics, including board and governance development, strategic planning, communication and conflict management, organizational lifecycles, and succession planning within family businesses.

Surrounded by an exceptional team, Mitch has earned a reputation for delivering practical, insightful, and provocative advice specific to clients’ goals and objectives. Mitch is a member of the Family Firm Institute and honored as a Fellow and holds the designation of ACFBA – Advanced Certificate in Family Business Advising.

Mitch says, “We go deep with Strategies clients. Our process begins with a deep understanding of what they want. Then, we deliver a plan to achieve their constantly evolving goals. Only by understanding  all of the players involved, their objectives, and all aspects of the business can we begin to understand how to deliver on their desired outcomes.

For Mitch, “by the end of the process, they are more than clients – they’re friends.”

When he is not helping clients, Mitch spends time with his wife and three boys traveling, skiing, hiking or just hanging out together. Plus, chasing or being chased by the family dog - Mackey. Mitch is an avid golfer; albeit not a very good one.
